These device continuously monitor the level of the fluid, and transmit a 4-20mA analogue signal, which when scaled to the maximum and minimum heights of the fluid gives an real time output of the liquid level.
The advantage of Ultrasonic Level Devices is that they can do not ever have to touch the fluid, they are mounted above the fluid, and send an ultrasonic beam which bounces off the fluid surface and is received back by the transmitter. It can then determine the distance by the time it took the signal to return.
Ultrasonic level devices can be used on virtually any fluid, as long as the reflecting surface is flat. and relatively level. A stilling tube can be used to achieve this in turbulent situations.
We can supply a variety of ultrasonic level devices, from simple 4-20mA output only through to devices with relay outputs, and PLC control gear.
